additional job in Ocean County for every job at the plant.
- Employees donated $247,000 to the United Way in 2007, which directly support local education and health and human services needs.
- In Ocean County last year, the station's
purchases totaled $7.7 million.
- Oyster Creek paid $9.2 million
in direct sales and local taxes, and was responsible
for another $3 million in local taxes
paid by employees who work at the plant.
- Oyster Creek donated $80,000
in 2005 to the Sport Fish Fund for construction
of a 46-acre artificial reef to provide a productive habitat
for marine life.
